Day 4: The end of the road

What a bummer to have to leave Sedona! We definitely didn't have enough time there. We'll be back! Our campsite neighbors told us about an awesome Mexican restaurant that we'll have to check out next time.

Breakfast: scrambled egg hash with leftover BBQ from last night

After breakfast, we headed back for Las Vegas and started packing up our crapload of stuff. We continued to get severe weather warnings on our phones in a couple counties we drove through. Luckily nothing too scary. I think it sprinkled a bit. There were several flash flood warnings and maybe some high wind advisories.

We stopped for gas and had lunch in Kingman, AZ at Redneck's Southern Pit BBQ. The BBQ was delicious. Certainly not the best I've ever had, but man—that cheesy potato casserole! So bad, but so good.

I think Ada enjoyed her BBQ too...

Hi/Bye Hoover Dam! We ain't got time for you.

We totally misjudged our timing and were late returning the RV. We had to pick up Amy and Kevin's rental car and then go back to K's sister's to get our car and unload the RV. We called to let the RV place know we'd be late, and they said it was fine—that they'd still be there when we arrived back in Vegas. Well, they weren't there. The salespeople were still there, and they told Kevin to come back on Monday after the weekend. Ha!! Luckily they still let him drop it off when he said they were flying out that night...

The next order of business was to kill some time before Ada's bedtime and get dinner. We got coffee at the Bellagio and walked through the fun gardeny area.

Then we watched the fountain show! Always cool!

Finally, we got dinner at a terrible horrible no-good salad/sandwich place inside Planet Hollywood that somehow had tons of good reviews (I have no idea HOW). We said our goodbyes and set off back to San Diego.

Overall, a great trip despite lack of sleep! I'd definitely do another RV adventure.
